About Me

I'm an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 13 years' of experience working in mental health. My passion for mental health is a personal one, and goes beyond the therapy room, as I've had family members affected by mental health difficulties.
I am invested in making mental health a part of every day conversations. Within my clinical work, I encourage individuals to express their inner feelings, without fear of judgement or rejection.
I know not everyone is looking for answers to their problems - I'm a true believer that many of us have these already, and sometimes we just need a little guidance to find these. However, there is often a desire to feel validated, heard and understood.
I created L Holder Therapies with three principles in mind:
-
To provide education related to mental health
-
To facilitate evidence-based therapy that empowers you to overcome challenges
-
To create a space that encourages you to make desired changes that improve your overall health and wellbeing
Qualifications:
- First class BSc (Hons) Psychology
- MSc Eating disorders and Clinical Nutrition (Distinction)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions
- Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapies
Professional Membership:
I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), the lead organisation for CBT in the UK, which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. My BABCP membership number is 1000166.
